2012 Calendar of Events

Unless otherwise noticed, all meetings will be held at the Kimberton Fire Company Fairgrounds Meeting Hall on Rt. 113 (Kimberton Road), 1.8 miles south of its intersection with Rt. 23 in Phoenixville, PA.

January 30th, Monday 7:30PM (MONTHLY MEETING)
"Fly Fishing Small Streams; Adirondaks to the Blue Ridge" featuring Craig Hull, Pennsylvania guide and fly tyer. Craig will be bringing an assortment of his famous Troutgetter flies. February 15th, Wednesday 11:00PM (FLOAT STOCKING)
The first stocking of the French Creek Fly Fishing Only Catch and Release Area. You are invited to participate in this club activity. We will need you to volunteer a few hours of time in the middle of the day to successfully complete this float stocking activity. February 27th, Monday 7:30PM (MONTHLY MEETING)
DJL Movie Night! We will have a public screening of the movie “Trout Grass.” This unique film documents the journey of bamboo from a hardy species of grass into a meticulously crafted split-cane fly rod. www.troutgrass.com Running time ~ 50 min.

March 26th, Monday 7:30PM (MONTHLY MEETING)
"Christine Sharbaugh" from the Sporting Gentleman in Media will be giving a presentation on "Atlantic Salmon fishing the Gaspe Penninsula". The Sporting Gentleman in Media, PA has been a long supporter of DJL, you can learn more about the goods and services they offer her ,

April 28th, Saturday 8:00AM (Learn to Fly Fish Course)
Our annual Learn to Fly Fish Course will be held again in April. Volunteers to help with fly casting instructions are always needed.

April 30th, Monday 7:30PM (MONTHLY MEETING)
"Saltwater Fly Tyer and Fishing Enthusiast Steve Farrar " will be giving a presentation on fishing and tying for salt water. We will also hold our 50/50 raffle drawing.
